12/30/2019 - MY TOP TEN MOVIES OF 2019 LIST !!

As we near the end of 2019, I have to feed my compulsion to create as many lists as possible. Today, it’s my top 10 movies of 2019 list. To justify why I chose these ten films, I am going to show you the list I made of all the movies I saw in 2019. Not all of these movies were released this year, but this was the year I finally got around to see them. I am about to watch IT: Chapter 2 tonight, but based on the reviews and buzz on Youtube, I highly doubt it is making my top ten list. That is an interesting point for me to make, since a Stephen King adaptation almost took the number one spot this year. Ok, without further ado, here is my Top Ten of 2019: 10) US 9) Ready or Not 8) Ford Vs. Ferrari 7) The Irishman 6) Midsommar 5) Knives Out 4) Avengers: Endgame 3) Marriage Story 2) Doctor Sleep 1) Parasite There are quite a few movies I have not seen yet, that have earned a lot of praise from my favorite youtubers, film twitter and friends who review films

12/29/2019 - ROBOGENESIS (Book Review)

If you have looked over previous blog posts I have made for this site, you can tell that I have an almost fetishistic drive to create lists. Recently, I tried putting together a top 10 favorite authors list. I found this extremely difficult to make. I could easily, and without any debate name my top ten favorite comic book writers, since many of the list I have read dozens, if not hundreds of their comic book issues, and will continue to do so, for as long as they continue to put their work out. For Novelists, I would have to say, it is far more difficult to come up with a complete list. With the exception of authors of ongoing series of novels, like say RA Salvatore with his Dark Elf books, or Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman with their Dragonlance books, it is very rare for me to have read more than 3 books by one author. In the end, I came up with this list: Joe Hill Jim Butcher George RR Martin Brandon Sanderson Anne Rice Patrick Rothfuss Stephen King Timot

12/6/2019 - PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS: THE TITAN'S CURSE (BOOK REVIEW)

Ok, here is something you have probably seen multiple times, if you read my reviews (This is getting to be like My CW Super Show opening Credit Narration)  I have been reading to my 9 year old daughter, every night , for her entire life. Once we got up to the age where we could start plowing through entire novels, I started keeping track of the books we read together. I made a list of these books and put them in order from Favorite to Least Favorite. These are all of the books she and I have read together, minus the Harry Potter series. Here is the current standings: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever School for Good and Evil The Dollhouse Murders School for Good and Evil: A World Without Princes Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing Bunnicula Beezus and Ramona The Girl with the Silver Eyes Ramona the Pest Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Theif Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters Black Beauty Howliday Inn Pippi Longstocking H
